MANILA, Philippines—Ten vintage bombs  and one hand grenade were recovered Thursday morning from a police outpost formerly occupied by village watchmen in Laguna province, a Philippine National Police spokesman said Friday.

Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said that the 10 pieces of 75 millimeter mortar projectiles and hand grenade were recovered at the lobby of the Cabuyao Municipal Police station located at Southhill Subdivision, Barangay Niugan, Cabuyao, Laguna around 8:20 a.m. Thursday.

He said that initial investigation revealed that the recovered items were stockpiled in the area by the village watchmen who occupied the compound before it was taken over by local police officials.
