TUGUEGARAO CITY – A 77-year-old priest and six others from a single household were among the latest to be infected with the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in this city where community testing was held due to the rising number of cases. The priest, who had no travel history, had a sore throat, cough and colds since Jan. 21, city health officials said. He is also hypertensive and diabetic and is isolated at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center. In Barangay Leonarda, Covid-19 has afflicted a couple and their father, two daughters and house helper. Twenty-six other new infections were recorded in the city over the weekend as the city’s 14-day enhanced community quarantine status was extended until Feb. 3 Mayor Jefferson Soriano has remained on isolation after testing positive for Covid-19 last week.
