Mountain Province posts highest single-day infections with 84 new COVID-19 cases
QUEZON, Isabela –– The Mountain Province provincial health office has recorded 84 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, officials said.
In a statement, the provincial government said the data was the highest number of COVID-19 cases reported in a single day for Mountain Province since the start of the pandemic.
The new cases came from Bontoc town with 57, Sabangan with 15, Sagada with five, Sadanga with four, Bauko with two, and Paracelis with one.
Most of the cases were close contacts of known COVID-19 cases.
Mountain Province now has a total of 285 COVID-19 cases with 132 recoveries, 152 active cases, and one COVID-19 related death.
