Man found dead in Olongapo canal

OLONGAPO CITY –– A man was found dead in a canal here on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The body of Gener Ramos, 55, a resident of Barangay Mabayuan, was discovered around 6:30 a.m. in the canal near an outpost in Barangay Gordon Heights.

Ramos, who was partly paralyzed, had been staying at the outpost and could have tripped and fallen into the canal, investigators said.

Policemen and the village’s rescue team responded to remove his body.
