MANILA, Philippines — A survey conducted by OCTA Research revealed that only one out of four or 25% of respondents in the National Capital Region (NCR) are willing to get inoculated if there are already available COVID-19 vaccine in the country.
The data from the group’s Tugon ng Masa survey showed that 29% of those who are willing to get the vaccine came from socioeconomic class ABC, 24% are from class D, and 27% are from class E.
Meanwhile, the poll reported that 28% of the respondents said they are not interested in getting the vaccine. Of the sum, 31% are from class E, 28% from class D, and 19% are from class ABC.
Almost half of the respondents or 47% said they are still undecided whether or not they want to get vaccinated. The majority of this group of respondents came from class ABC with 52%, 48% from class D, and 42% are from class E.
The independent and non-commissioned scientific poll was conducted last December 9 to 13, 2020. Face-to-face interviews were carried out on 600 respondents aged 18 and above and were asked about their willingness to be inoculated with the COVID-19 vaccine.
The survey has a sampling error of ±4%.
