Cops bust ambulance driver linked to Cebu drug ring
MANILA, Philippines — An ambulance driver reportedly linked to an already detained big-time drug personality was arrested in a bust in Cebu province on New Year’s Eve.
The police arrested Rodney Delfino, 43, in a buy-bust in Barangay Poblacion in Talisay City around 6 p.m. Also arrested were Egard Quiachon, 28, and Jamel Santiago, 26.
Seized from the suspects were 325 grams worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P2.2 million.
In a statement, PNP chief Gen. Debold Sinas said Delfino was one of the many underlings of drug suspect Wesley Chua, who was arrested in Cebu City with P10.4 million worth of shabu in February.
Sinas said Wesley Chua is the son of William Chua, a suspected drug lord based in Bacolod City.
