Getaway motorcycle in slay of N. Ecija cop recovered
CABANATUAN CITY – The motorcycle used as the getaway vehicle in the daytime killing of Police Staff Sergeant Mark Levy Palilio was traced to a resident in Tarlac City, police said on Saturday.
But investigators were still looking for the motorcycle’s registered owner even as the motorcycle’s engine and chassis numbers appeared to have been tampered with.
Palilio, 31, a resident of Barangay Daan Sarile here, was gunned down by unidentified gunmen along the busy section of the Maharlika Highway, also in this city, at about 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 17.
Panlilio was alighting from his car in front of a store he owned when he was attacked. He was assigned to the police office in San Leonardo town in Nueva Ecija.
