More than 300 Filipinos overseas repatriated before Christmas — DFA

MANILA, Philippines — More than 300 overseas Filipinos were brought back home before Christmas Day, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Saturday.

Of the 384 evacuated Filipino overseas, DFA said 273 Filipinos, including a medical worker, were sent home from Korea, 23 from Malaysia, five who were stranded in China, and 83 from Tokyo.

As of Dec. 22, DFA said it evacuated 13,320 overseas Filipinos a week before Christmas. This figure raises the total number of repatriated Filipinos to 314,158.
