2 suspected drug pushers fall in Lucena busts

LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested two suspected drug peddlers in a sting operation in this city on Wednesday.

In a report, Police Lieutenant Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, identified the suspects as Henry Aguda, 38, a rookie in the illegal drug trade; and Janglee Gonzales, 20, who was on the list of identified shabu (crystal meth) peddlers in the city.

Anti-illegal drug operatives collared Gonzales after he sold a pack of shabu to a police agent in a transaction in Barangay 10 around 9 a.m.

Authorities seized meth in five plastic sachets from the suspect.

Another police team busted Aguda in Barangay 8 at 7:05 a.m. He was caught carrying six plastic sachets of meth.

The suspects will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
