Tagbilaran casual employee arrested in drug bust

TAGBILARAN CITY—An employee of the Tagbilaran City Hall is facing charges after her arrest during a drug bust on Wednesday (Nov. 11).

Jenilyn Fuerte, 42, a casual employee of the city government, did not resist arrest.

Her husband, Joseph, a former traffic enforcer in the city, and his alleged cohort, a certain Aldrin Garing, managed to escape.

The Tagbilaran police and agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Bohol said Joseph was on the PDEA’s target list while Garing was a street-level drug dealer.

The two suspects left 14 packets of shabu, or crystal meth, worth at least P13,600 as they tried to escape.

Authorities also seized sachets of meth from Fuerte worth at least P13, 600.

Fuerte was detained at the stockade of the Tagbilaran Police Station pending charges.
