Pasig River Ferry service suspended due to Ulysses

Pasig River Ferry resumes operations

MANILA, Philippines — Operations of the Pasig River Ferry Service are temporarily suspended on Wednesday due to Severe Tropical Storm Ulysses, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.

In an advisory, the MMDA said ferry operations were suspended after the weather bureau hoisted Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 over Metro Manila.

“The operations of the Pasig River Ferry Service is suspended today, Nov. 11 (Wednesday), as Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 is raised over Metro Manila due to typhoon Ulysses,” it said.

Severe tropical storm Ulysses is already “nearing typhoon category” as it is forecast to reach its peak intensity prior to landfall, Pagasa said Wednesday morning.

Signal No. 3 may be raised over Metro Manila and portions of Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and Bicol Region once severe tropical storm Ulysses develops into a typhoon.
