Malacañang to pay hotels hosting quarantined OFWs
Malacañang on Friday assured hotels used as quarantine facilities for returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) that the government had funds to pay them after the hotels complained that the government had yet to settle P200 million in unpaid bills.
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said that as per the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, the government had paid P2.3 billion to hotels that housed the OFWs waiting for their swab test results.
