COVID-19 death toll in Cabanatuan City rises to 8

CABANATUAN CITY –– A 71-year-old woman has died from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in this city more than a week after contracting the virus, authorities here said.

The elderly patient, who had no travel history, became the city’s eighth casualty related to the disease, according to the city information office.

She experienced difficulty in breathing and was swabbed for COVID-19 test on Oct. 11.

As of Tuesday, the number of COVID-19 cases in the city has climbed to 359, 43 of which were active.
