/ 05:10 AM October 09, 2020

The implementing rules and regulations of the Anti-Terrorism Act will be ready by Oct. 14 and would be submitted to the Cabinet-level Anti-Terrorism Council on Oct. 14, Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said on Thursday.

Signed by President Duterte on July 3 as Republic Act No. 11479, the new antiterrorism measure took effect on July 18 but 37 petitions have been filed against it before the Supreme Court which said it would hear still unscheduled arguments in open court. —DONA Z. PAZZIBUGAN
