PH’s COVID-19 tally now at 324,762
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health logged 2,291 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the country’s case count to 324,762 as of Monday.
Of the total number of cases, 45,799 are considered active.
Most of 85.6% of the active cases are experiencing mild symptoms, 9.2% are asymptomatic, 1.6% have severe symptoms, while 3.6% are in critical condition.
Metro Manila logged the most number of new cases, with 825 cases, followed by Batangas (140), Laguna (128), Rizal (114), and Cavite (102).
The DOH also recorded 87 new recoveries, raising the total to 273,123, while the death toll also rose to 5,840 with 84 new deaths.
The DOH also removed 26 duplicates from the total case count, 18 of which are recovered cases.
