Olongapo logs 2 new COVID-19 deaths, 12 cases
OLONGAPO CITY –– Two elderly residents here have died of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), while 12 new cases were also recorded on Tuesday.
Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said one of the fatalities was a 69-year-old man who tested positive for the virus on Sept. 24. Five of his family members also contracted the virus, but they have already recovered.
The other fatality was a 60-year-old man who died three days after his real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test yielded a positive result.
The city now has a total of 535 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 290 recoveries. There are still 222 active patients, while 23 have died.
