Cops seize P1.7M worth of shabu from Camarines Sur teacher
LEGAZPI CITY –– A 50-year-old public school teacher was arrested with P1.7 million worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth) at a drug sting on Tuesday night in Nabua town in Camarines Sur province.
Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said Tirzo Rolando Duran, a resident of Barangay Sto. Domingo and a high-value target (HVT) illegal drug pusher, was caught selling shabu to an undercover police agent in the said village at 8:50 p.m.
The drug operation yielded two knot-tied and several medium-sized sachets of shabu and the P75,000 marked money. The shabu was later estimated to be around P1.7 million worth.
The suspect was placed under police custody and would be facing charges for possession and trading of illegal drugs.
