Negros Occidental gov, staff test negative for COVID-19, but 4 others are positive
BACOLOD CITY –– Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson and most of his staff members tested negative for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Four others, including a bodyguard and server, however, contracted the virus, said Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz.
Lacson and his staff members went on self-isolation starting Friday after a utility worker at his office tested positive for COVID-19.
Diaz said they are still assessing whether or not it is safe for the Governor’s Office at the Capitol in Bacolod City to reopen today.
