3.6 earthquake shakes Eastern Visayas

TACLOBAN CITY –– A 3.6 magnitude earthquake shook parts of Eastern Samar at 9:32 a.m. on Thursday.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) traced the epicenter of the quake to Guiuan town.

The tremor had a depth of 041 kilometers and was tectonic in origin.

It was felt in Palo, Leyte at Intensity I.

No damage and aftershocks were expected.
