Japanese man dies of heart attack at NAIA

MANILA, Philippines – A 66-year-old Japanese man died of heart attack while waiting for his flight at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Sunday, a Radyo Inquirer 990AM report said Monday.

The Manila International Airport Authority media affairs office identified the victim as Hosokawa Mitsuo, who was waiting for Cebu Pacific flight 5J828 bound for Osaka, Japan.

A report from airport medical officer Maria Carmen Kagaoan, stated that the victim was rushed to the airport’s clinic after he lost consciousness. She said that medical officers tried to revive the Japanese man but he eventually died.

Meanwhile, the Japanese Embassy has been informed of Mitsuo’s death, the report said.
