2 drug pushers fall in Lucena busts
LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested two suspected peddlers of “shabu” (crystal meth) in separate operations here early Friday.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, reported that anti-narcotics agents collared Edmar de Castro, 29, after he sold a pack of meth to an undercover police officer in a drug transaction in Barangay Ibabang Iyam around 7:45 a.m.
The suspect, tagged by the police as a rookie in the illegal drug trade, yielded seven plastic sachets of shabu.
Earlier, police also arrested Louie De Vera, 33, in another buy-bust operation in Barangay Market View at 6 a.m.
Authorities seized five sachets of shabu from the suspect, a former drug convict.
The suspects are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
