COVID-19 hits 82 more cops; PNP cases jump to 3,751
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday logged 82 additional coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases, bringing the total number of cases in the national police organization to 3,751.
Of the 82 new cases of COVID-19, the PNP Public Information Office said 30 are from Metro Manila; 17 from Calabarzon; 14 from Central Luzon; eight from Zamboanga Peninsula; six from the office of PNP National Operational Support Unit (NOSU); four from Western Visayas; two from Central Visayas; and one from Bicol Region.
In a Facebook post, PNP also reported 2,629 survivors of the disease including three new recoveries.

Meanwhile, COVID-19 death toll in PNP remained at 16 with no additional fatalities tallied.
The nation’s police force is also monitoring 651 probable cases and 2,908 suspects for the coronavirus disease.
As of Thursday, the Department of Health recorded 3,249 more COVID-19 infections nationwide, increasing the total caseload to 205,581.
