11 more cops get COVID-19, bringing PNP total cases to 2,048

MANILA, Philippines — The number of Philippine National Police (PNP) officers with COVID-19 has ballooned to 2,048, with 11 new infections reported on Tuesday.

According to the PNP Public Information Office, five more officers recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries at 730.

The death toll as of now remained at 10.

Of the new cases, seven are in the National Capital Region Police Office, two in the Central Visayas Police Regional Office and one each from the Central  Luzon PRO, and the Northern Mindanao PRO.

As of now, the Philippines has over 83,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases — where 1,947 patients have died while 26,617 have recovered.
