12 arrested in QC gym amid GCQ
MANILA, Philippines — Twelve persons were arrested in a fitness gym in Quezon City that was found operating Sunday night, in defiance of general community quarantine (GCQ) rules being enforced in Metro Manila.
Members of the Quezon City Task Force Disiplina went to the gym after receiving a report that it was operating despite quarantine guidelines.
“Matapos maiprofiling ng TFD ay dinala ang 12 kalalakihan sa tanggapan ng Police Station 6 na nakaharap sa paglabag sa kasong R.A 11332 (Mass Gathering and Not wearing of facemask/face protector),” the task force said in a Facebook post Monday.
(After profiling from the TFD, the 12 men were brought to Police Station 6 and they are facing charges for violation of RA 11332.)
“Posibleng managot ang may ari at maipasara ang naturang gym,” it added.
(The owner may face charges as well and the gym may face closure.)
