Pagasa: Fair Monday weather with possible isolated rain showers

MANILA, Philippines — Fair weather is expected nationwide on Monday, with possible isolated rain showers in the afternoon or evening due to thunderstorms, the state weather bureau said.

The southwest monsoon or “habagat”, however, will affect Batanes, Babuyan Islands, and Ilocos region, where  cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa)

“Sa nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon kasama ang Metro Manila, asahan ang maganda at maaliwalas na panahon maliban sa biglaang buhos ng ulan dahil sa thunderstorms,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said in a 4 a.m. weather forecast.

(The rest of Luzon, including Metro Manila, will have fair weather except for isolated rain showers due to thunderstorms.)

“Sa Visayas at Mindanao, fair weather po maliban sa afternoon rain showers dahil sa localized thunderstorms,” Aurelio said.

(In Visayas and Mindanao, there will also be fair weather except for afternoon rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.)

Baguio City: 16 to 24 degrees Celsius
Laoag City:  24 to 30 degrees Celsius
Tuguegarao: 24 to 34 degrees Celsius
Legazpi City: 26 to 33 degrees Celsius
Puerto Princesa City: 26 to 32 degrees Celsius
Iloilo City: 26 to 32 degrees Celsius
Cebu City: 26 to 32 degrees Celsius
Tacloban City: 26 to 33 degrees Celsius
Cagayan De Oro City: 23 to 31 degrees Celsius
Zamboanga City: 22 to 34 degrees Celsius
