Science City of Muñoz gets 1st COVID-19 infection
CABANATUAN CITY—After successfully fending off the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) since the pandemic began, the Science City of Muñoz recorded its first infection on Saturday, the Nueva Ecija inter-agency task force said.
The asymptomatic 35-year-old patient, a medical frontliner at the Premiere Medical Center here, had no travel history and is on home quarantine.
The new case raised to 121 the confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nueva Ecija.
To help contain the spread of COVID-19, Cabanatuan Bishop Sofronio Bancud said Masses at the St. Nicholas of Tolentine Parish were temporarily suspended until July 31.
Instead, scheduled Masses will be live-streamed.
