CITY OF MALOLOS — Authorities here on Wednesday intercepted 18 trucks loaded with illegally quarried and transported landfill materials worth P150,000.

Elizabeth Apresto, Bulacan environment officer, said the landfill materials would be taken to a subdivision being developed in Barangay Pio Cruzcosa, Calumpit town.

Apresto said the materials were illegally quarried in San Miguel town because the truck owners failed to present quarry, hauling and transport permits.

Gov. Daniel Fernando ordered the immediate filing of charges against the truck owners and land developers.
