MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte is expected to address the nation on Tuesday from Davao City, Malacañang said.

“Now, kailan po ang susunod na mensahe ng ating Presidente: Bukas po, galing sa siyudad ng Davao,” Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said Monday in an online briefing.

Roque did not detail what Duterte’s message will be about.

The President is back in Davao City after he met with military and police officials in Zamboanga City last week regarding the Jolo shooting incident that left four soldiers dead.

During his talk before the military, Duterte appealed for “calm” and “understanding” between the military and the police as he implored the security forces to wait for the result of the probe on the June 29 incident.

The President also assured justice for the four army men who were killed in the incident.
