Returnee flees quarantine facility in Bohol town
TAGBILARAN CITY—A returnee escaped on Wednesday (July 1) from a quarantine facility in the town of Inabanga, Bohol province, prompting officials to seek help in locating the person.
The municipal government of Inabanga, on a Facebook post, said the returnee, who arrived from Leyte province, had been “very hard to manage.”
The returnee, said the post, “would not wear face mask and kept on shouting inside the facility.”
The local government unit appealed to residents of the village of Lutao in Inabanga to report to authorities the whereabouts of the returnee.
Last Monday (June 29), a case was filed against two returnees in the town of Loay, Bohol, for sneaking out of a quarantine facility to buy cigarettes.
They were charged with violating RA No. 11332, or the Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Concern Act.
