52 recover from coronavirus in two days in Las Piñas City
MANILA, Philippines–Fifty-two coronavirus patients recovered during the last couple of days in Las Piñas City, the highest number of recoveries recorded in the city.
Mayor Imelda “Mel” Aguilar said that 41 patients recovered on June 23 and 11 on June 24.
The city has a total number of 286 recorded recoveries.
Patients who have recovered were from Barangay Almanza Uno,Almanza Dos, CAA, Daniel Fajardo, Manuyo Uno, Manuyo Dos, Pamplona Tres, Pilar, Elias Aldana, Pulanglupa Uno, Pulanglupa Dos, Talon Dos, Talon Kuwatro, Talon Tres, and Ilaya.
Las Piñas has 432 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 286 recoveries, 34 deaths, 112 active cases, 66 probable and 43 suspected cases, said Las Piñas City Health Office chief Dr. Ferdinand Eusebio.
Eusebio said that screening and contact tracing were strictly observed to stop the spread of the virus.
Aguilar said that immediate action and implementation of health protocols, including setting up isolation facilities to separate patients who tested positive for coronavirus and those who are simply experiencing symptoms of the disease resulted in the fast recovery of patients.
“Tuluy-tuloy ang ating lokal na pamahalaan sa kanyang mga hakbang na tugunan ang mga COVID cases at mapigilan ang pagkalat ng virus sa lungsod,” she said.
