3 drug suspects nabbed in Bicol police operations

LEGAZPI CITY –– Three suspected drug personalities were arrested in separate police operations Bicol on Thursday.

Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, spokesperson of Naga City police, said Felipe Zafe, 30, while onboard a motorcycle, was flagged down by authorities implementing curfew hours in Barangay Mabolo at 11:50 p.m.


Zafe accidentally dropped a sachet of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) while he was pulling his driver’s license from his pocket.

Col. Roderico Roy Jr., Camarines Sur police chief said Christian Abellado, 22, was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Juan in Pili town at 1:25 p.m. Recovered were two sachets of shabu.


In Camarines Norte, Joven Poot, 54, was also arrested in a separate buy-bust operation in Barangay Camambugan in Daet town at 3:40 p.m., Col. Marlon Tejada, provincial police chief said. Seized were five sachets of shabu worth P2,500.

Poot was in the illegal drugs watchlist.

In Batuan, Masbate, police said Mama Buisan, 34, escaped from a search operation in Barangay Canvañes at 7:45 a.m. Seized from his residence were two big and three small sachets of shabu.

Buisan was also listed as a drug personality.
