IATF asked to allow back ride on motorcycles

ILOILO CITY, Iloilo, Philippines — Local government officials in Western Visayas have appealed to the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) to allow family members to back ride on motorcycles amid the shortage of public transport.

Antique Gov. Rhodora Cadiao asked the Department of Transportation to lift the ban and heed the widespread clamor of residents.

“Fifty percent of transport in interior barangays are motorcycles,” Cadiao said.
