San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora

San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora posted on Facebook an infographic of health guidelines for passengers and drivers of tricycles, saying he will inspect terminals to ensure the protocols are being followed.

“Mag-iikot at mag-iinspeksyon si Mayor Francis Zamora sa mga tricycle terminals para ipaalala ang mga patakarang dapat sundin upang masiguro ang kaligtasan ng mga pasahero pati na rin ng mga driver mula sa COVID-19,” read the post.

Based on Zamora’s post, tricycle drivers must have health clearance and travel passes.

All tricycles must have a plastic cover separating the tricycle driver from the passenger.

Only one passenger is allowed on the sidecar of the three-wheeled vehicle.

Back riding at tricycles is still not allowed.

Tricycles should also be disinfected, especially the sidecar.

Safety protocols such as wearing face masks, washing of hands, using disinfectant alcohol are also required both for passengers and tricycle drivers.

Lastly, Zamora said tricycles would have a fixed rate of P15 per trip.
