Liquor ban lifted in QC but sale limited

/ 04:00 AM May 16, 2020

Quezon City (QC) Mayor Joy Belmonte on Friday signed an executive order allowing the sale and consumption of liquor, as Metro Manila enters the two-week modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) on Saturday.

Under Executive Order No. 31, all persons, entities or establishments with valid licenses will be allowed to sell or distribute liquor in Quezon City during the MECQ.

But the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages will only be permitted from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. daily. —Mariejo S. Ramos
