3 oil companies extend fuel subsidy program

/ 04:05 AM May 16, 2020

Three fuel companies have agreed to extend their fuel subsidy program for buses ferrying front-line workers until May 31, as Metro Manila goes into its third extension on the total lockdown against the new coronavirus disease pandemic.

Cleanfuel, Phoenix and Petron, all leading gas chains in the country, said they were willing to extend their program for the entire duration of the modified enhanced community quarantine in Manila. The program was supposed to end on Friday.

Both Petron and Phoenix committed to allocate 3,000 liters a day each, while Cleanfuel said it would continue providing 810 liters of fuel every day. —Krixia Subingsubing
