MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.2 earthquake hit Masbate early on Sunday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The quake struck at 03:56 a.m. 19 km east of Claveria at a depth of 5 km.
Earlier, at 3:18 a.m., a magnitude 5.4 quake also hit Occidental Mindoro, which is west of Masbate.
