Governor Humerlito Dolor made the announcement on a Facebook post Wednesday night, quoting results from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) and San Lazaro Hospital.

Nine of earlier 10 cases have recovered. The remaining patient from San Jose in Occidental Mindoro died.
The first four new patients mentioned have no history of travel outside the province and are all asymptomatic.
They were included in the mass testing because they had direct contact with a female doctor who assessed them and was later found to be COVID-19 positive.
She was also asymptomatic and had fully recovered.
The City Health Office (CHO) of Calapan said that since the four positive residents are asymptomatic, they are under strict home quarantine and monitoring.
The patient from Naujan has no travel history outside the province. She is also undergoing dialysis and was exposed to another dialysis patient who later tested COVID-19 positive.
Contact tracing is being undertaken on those who could have possible direct exposure on those who just tested positive and who were not yet included in the mass testing in previous weeks.
