P2.3M ‘shabu’ seized from 4 suspects in Cabanatuan City
CABANATUAN CITY—Four drug suspects, including a mother and her two children, were arrested while P2.3 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) were seized in separate buy-bust operations in this city, police said on Sunday.
Lt. Col. Arnel Dial, city police chief, identified the suspects as Rene Boy Rombawa, 35, a resident of Purok Betes in Barangay Lourdes; Jocelyn Tadeo, 50; and her children Jomar, 33, and Jacqeline, 28, all of Barangay Valdefuente.
Dial said Rombawa was arrested after he sold two plastic sachets of shabu to an undercover agent around 4 p.m. on Saturday.
In the course of investigation, police also recovered from Rombawa a hand grenade and nine more plastic packs with estimated street value of P1.23-million.
The Tadeos were arrested in their house where police recovered P1.1-million worth of shabu at around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Dial said.
Police said the suspects will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
