Oriental Mindoro records 6th COVID-19 positive case
CITY OF CALAPAN, Philippines – The province of Oriental Mindoro recorded its sixth coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) positive case, according to Governor Humerlito Dolor Saturday night.
Citing a report from the Department of Health – Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (DOH-RESU), Dolor said Patient 57, a 21-year-old male from Barangay (village) Teresita in Mansalay town tested positive for COVID-19.
Patient 57 was admitted to a hospital on April 3 for pulmonary tuberculosis and pneumonia. He was in Pampanga in October 2019.
Patient 57 also had a fever on April 4 but he no longer has breathing difficulties as of Saturday. He is scheduled for a confirmatory test.
At present, all his immediate family members are in good condition and asymptomatic, as well as the ambulance drivers who took them to the hospital.
