MANILA, Philippines — The provincial government of Rizal on Thursday reported two new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the province’s total infection to 166.
In its latest COVID-19 update, the Rizal government said it also has 12 fatalities and 12 recoveries as of Thursday morning.
Meanwhile, 704 patients are under investigation for the respiratory disease, 313 of them are under home quarantine, 32 are currently admitted while 337 have been cleared.
The province is likewise keeping track of 10, 913 persons under monitoring, of whom, 8,054 have completed home quarantine while only 2,859 are still on isolation as of date.
Antipolo City has 11 of the province’s total fatalities. Cainta and Taytay both have six deaths, Binangonan has 2 while Jala-Jala and San Mateo have one fatality apiece.
Rizal Governor Nini Ynares is among the province’s confirmed COVID-19 cases. She is currently admitted to a hospital. Meanwhile, Jala-Jala vice mayor Jolet Delos Santos died on March 31 due to the respiratory disease.
On Thursday afternoon, the Department of Health reported 206 additional cases of COVID-19, bringing the country’s total to 4,076.
Two hundred three patients have died nationwide while 124 recovered.
