Antipolo City sets P200M target for registering firms

The city of Antipolo expects business to be brisk this year with its business permits and licensing office (BPLO) projected to earn P200 million this year, according to an official.

The projection was made after the Antipolo City Council passed and approved an ordinance turning the city’s BPLO from a mere office under the city mayor to a department with a definite organization structure.

“We had a modest collection of P166 million from 10,000 registered businesses last year. This year, we have a goal of P200 million,” BPLO chief Salvador Maniquiz said in a statement.

He added that his office has been busy accommodating all taxpayers who are expected to renew their business permits from January 2 to 20.

“For an efficient and speedy registration, we have implemented strategies such as the Business One Stop Shop, or BOSS, program which ensures that all business enterprises in the city are registered or their contracts renewed,” Maniquiz said.
