Medical team from China arriving in PH
MANILA, Philippines — A medical team from China will be arriving soon to help the country’s health officials handle the COVID-19 pandemic that has gripped the country, Philippine Ambassador to China Jose Sta. Romana said.
“There will be a medical team to go to the Philippines to help us. That will be done soon. The details are being finalized,” Sta. Romana said in a phone interview aired by Malacañang on Monday.
He said some Chinese-Filipino individuals, including Oishi owner Carlos Chan, have arranged to airlift medical supplies from China. The chartered plane that left last Saturday was the second one to make the trip to China to pick up the medical supplies, Sta. Romana said.
