4.6-magnitude earthquake jolts Zambales

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales A 4.6-magnitude earthquake shook parts of this province on Thursday afternoon, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

In its earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs said the earthquake struck 30 kilometers (km) southwest of San Felipe at 2:49 p.m.

The earthquake, it added, was of tectonic origin and had a depth of 25 km.

Phivolcs said the tremor was also felt in other areas at various intensities: Intensity 3 in Olongapo City and Intensity 1 in Guagua, Pampanga.

Phivolcs also said no aftershocks or damage could be expected from the quake.
