LEGAZPI CITY—Checkpoints were set up at major entry and exit points of Camarines Norte in the hope that these would stop the spread of novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) in the province.

The Composite Task Force COVID-19, said the checkpoints would be placed at villages in the towns of Sta. Elena and Basud and other areas which could be used as access to the province.

Passengers of buses, trucks and other vehicles would be required to present ID cards and other documents at the checkpoints to be manned by police and health workers.
