2 dead in Quezon road accidents
LUCENA CITY –– Two persons, one of them a motorcycle rider, died in separate road mishaps along the Maharlika Highway in Quezon province on Wednesday.
The Quezon police reported that an unidentified motorcyclist bumped into an oncoming passenger bus being driven by Danilo Valenzuela in one section of the highway in Barangay Canda Ilaya in Lopez town around 10:45 p.m.
Valenzuela died instantly.

The police said the motorcycle, without plate number, occupied the opposite lane.

In Gumaca town, pedestrian Filonila Balimbing, while on the side of the highway, was hit by a van being driven by Ricky Sullano in Barangay Villa Arcaya around 1:20 p.m.
Balimbing died while being treated at Gumaca District Hospital.
