Gov’t employee shot dead in Samar town

ORMOC CITY –– An employee of the Municipal Risk Reduction Management Office was killed by unidentified assailants in Barangay Adela, Gandara town, Samar at 7:40 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3.

Alvin Estrelles, 47, was on his way home on board a motorcycle when the perpetrators aboard a sports utility vehicle fired at him several times.

Estrelles suffered multiple bullet wounds on his body.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Bella Rentuaya, spokesperson of the Eastern Visayas police, said investigators have yet to determine the motive behind the killing and the identities of the perpetrators.
