P6-M marijuana plants uprooted

/ 04:05 AM February 28, 2020

CEBU CITY—Fully grown marijuana plants worth at least P6 million were uprooted in a mountain village in Cebu City on Tuesday. Personnel of the City Mobile Force Company of the Cebu City police found the marijuana plants in three plantations at Sitio Mangabon in Barangay Tagbao. The marijuana haul was the biggest in the city this year. Police have yet to identify the owners of the plantations. Bamboo trees were used as camouflage so that the marijuana plantations would be hard to find, police said. —NESTLE SEMILLA
