Fire razes 300 houses in Cebu
CEBU CITY—At least 630 families were displaced by a fire that razed close to 300 houses in Barangay Suba here on Wednesday.
No fatalities were reported but damage to property could reach P1.5 million.
Investigators said faulty electrical wiring could have started the fire at the house of a certain Jerry Cabido at Sitio Sto. Niño in Suba village.
Most of those who lost their homes stayed in three evacuation sites at Pasil Sports Complex, Suba Sports Complex and a barangay-owned covered court. —DALE ISRAEL
