LUCENA CITY –– Four suspected drug pushers, one armed with a home-made handgun, were arrested in a series of buy-bust operations in four towns in Quezon province on Friday, police said Saturday.
Colonel Audie Madrideo, Quezon police chief, said in a report that Alexander Santos was arrested after he sold “shabu” (crystal meth) to a police agent in a drug deal in Barangay Pinagbayanan in Calauag town around 5:45 p.m.
Police seized P3,212 worth of shabu, sniffing paraphernalia, and a loaded home-made caliber .38 handgun.
The suspect was detained at the local police jail and is facing charges of illegal possession of firearm and violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Anti-illegal drugs operatives also collared alleged drug pushers Marvin Lorena in Sariaya town; Leonard James Juniosa in Infanta; and Ohnex Demin in Real in drug sting operations.
