Alleged NPA rebel nabbed in Quezon

LUCENA CITY –– A wanted criminal and alleged New People’s Army (NPA) rebel was arrested by combined Army soldiers and policemen in General Luna town in Quezon province Wednesday.

Colonel Audie Madrideo, Quezon police chief, said the government forces, armed with a search warrant, collared Hilario de Roxas, 56, in Barangay Sumilang around 10 a.m.

Police tagged De Roxas as number one in the list of wanted criminals in General Luna. He is facing double murder and multiple attempted murder charges.

A report claimed that De Roxas, a resident of Catanauan, Quezon, was also a member of the communist NPA using the alias “Ka Mando” in the rebel movement.
